The Leadhills Grouse Moors

The moors are easily accessed from the A74 trunk road, being under one hour’s drive from Edinburgh and Glasgow airports. Shooting Lodge: by separate negotiation there could be an option to lease a site suitable for the building of a lodge, subject to the necessary planning consents being obtained. The moors total approximately 18,515 acres (7,493 hectares) of which around 11,084 acres (4,486 hectares) are heather hills. There are four main driving beats each providing a day’s driven grouse shooting.
