CKD Kennedy Macpherson is led by Jonathan Kennedy and Andrew Macpherson, two of the most experienced, forward-thinking professionals in the rural property business. Based in London with offices in Northumberland and Yorkshire, we have the specialist skills and dynamism to put a deal together and to see it through to a successful conclusion.

Jonathan and Andrew have worked together for over fifteen years and formed CKD Kennedy Macpherson in 1999. Dick Murphy has been also been with the company since its inception and is based in our North of England offices.

The firm is structured to make time for leading professionals to think laterally and effectively about each client's specific requirements. We believe that all too often in the rural property market, the services offered are company not client-focused and rely too heavily on delegation to junior employees. At CKD Kennedy Macpherson we believe it is vital for experienced professionals to take the time to analyse every situation, each individual client or property. We will always recommend the most appropriate strategy for each specific case, rather than automatically opting for standard public marketing.

For example, the team at CKD Kennedy Macpherson will not always seek to promote a property for sale on the open market. Although sometimes this will be the best method of sale however, particularly at the top end of the market, we have found it far more effective to ensure discreetly that the right people know that a new property is about to become available. Conversely we sometimes find it constructive to approach potential vendors informing them quietly that there are interested parties looking for a specific property should they be considering selling. Innovative solutions come from long years of experience, a thorough knowledge of the market and the time to concentrate on what will be the best solution on each occasion.

Sometimes CKD Kennedy Macpherson acts as the lead selling agent, providing strategy and negotiating expertise whilst instructing others to provide the marketing profile. We are used to working with other agents, financial planners and legal advisors. Throughout a property transaction we will focus fully on what will work best for our client, and make sure that we use all our negotiating skills to secure the best possible outcome as we close a deal.
